Every morning I walk the same route to get coffee, and I just saw this for the first time today. Down one of the alleys between the streets I saw something spinning from the corner of my eye. I walked down the alley to look at it, and there is a deck with all sorts of huge sculptures and things spinning and moving.This seems like the kind of thing that everyone else has noticed, except for me.

Yay today is Oak's first day back open. It's a little chilly out, but very sunny. There is only 1 of the teal Jello mold Tupperware lamps left. But, Oak has a few cool new lamps to replace them. Although, I will be sad when the last one is gone!Next, we will have these tea cup and recycled bottle lamps. Which I am also very excited to see arriving.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, finally! I'm really happy with the way it came out. We just put it up tonight. It's pretty low to the ground, so I'm just hoping that no one writes on it :(The brownstone is getting updated too, so soon the outside will be pretty pretty. Today my boyfriend and I built a little stone wall around the tree in front of Oak. The little wire fence that we had been using previously, had been trampled too many times to count. Everyday for the last 2 weeks we have had wild rain storms. It will be hot and sunny and then a minute later it will be dark and rainy. Look at this weather forecast! I found this horribly funky chair (actually 2) on the side of the road and decided to do some alterations. Clean the chair. Sand it. Paint it. Re-do the fabric seating. Put back together! New chair for just about $8 and 2 hours of work.Before: After:

Nancy has been hard at work, traveling all over NYC, Maine, Mass and more to find unique home decor and accessories.It is looking great down there, and she will be planning a nice grand opening event for everyone to come see what has been happening.The building next door is going under some renovations also, and I am curious to see what business takes that
