Just another blizzard

but this one happens to be on New Years Eve unfortunately... These pictures really don't do the snow justice. It's just a blanket of white raining down outside. And then this:

And this picture was taken just YESTERDAY of the new store. Not a drop of snow in sight! Moderately cool outside. It doesn't even look like this photo was taken within the same season. UGH Boston weather.

Oak is MOVING!

Right around the corner to 245 Newbury St. In between Boloco and Deluca's Market. Above the Barbershop Lounge. Great space and I am very excited to move next month. We are aiming to open February 1st in the new location, but will still be open at 31 Gloucester St until then.

Also, check out the cufflinks featured on Brides.com today! Thanks Google Alerts.

Here is a cute picture from my friend Johnny's holiday party last week. It looks like a Christmas card.

Christmas, whewww

Back in Boston after being in NH for the holidays.

Weird story. I have all of these... keys from a movie coming out called "Coraline". someone from the movie brought me these keys to put in the store as a part of a scavenger hunt they will be doing in January. I really have no idea about the entire thing, and I've given away most of the keys already. Most of the customers taking them have no idea what they are for either though.

Boston's first snow day

We have just entered into the first snowy stretch of winter in Boston. We only got about 5 inches, which will seem like nothing come January... but it has caused some craziness in the city yesterday/today.

Holiday shoppers are still out braving the snow right now to get all of their last minute shopping done. Here are some pictures I took out the store window over the last 24 hours.

Sterling Scrabble necklaces in the Weekly Dig

Orders for these were coming in left and right and I had no idea where they had been featured. One customer just let me know today that they were in the Weekly Dig. I will have to go pick up a copy. Here is the online version for now!

Back in Boston

Long weekend in New York at the BUST show. We got home at 3am last night and just finished unpacking. Lots of fun, met tons of people, ate too much fast food.

My friend Serena made the drive with me and somehow we managed to take 6 hours to get to NYC. I need a GPS for Christmas.

Got to see some friends in the short time I was in New York. We met this great dog Schatzi that has better hair than I could ever hope for.

I am so excited for this weekend. Getting to see some friends in NYC that I do not see nearly enough, and of course attending the Craftacular.

It's going to be a long crazy day. But, I hope to see some of you there!

Oak's table is right around the corner when you get into the building, so you have no excuses for not finding the table.
