I just finalized making the new logo. Here it is:

Christmas is in 3 days!

Right now I am torn between being excited about Christmas and excited about the store opening. I am starting to order racks, books, computers, software and all sorts of other things that I will need. I am trying not to get ahead of myself, seeing as the construction isn't even half-finished.

I have been looking into modgreenpod.com to order non-toxic screen printed wallpaper for the store. They are a local Boston company that hand prints their paint-on wallpaper. Go check out their website if you've never heard of them. Very cool stuff.

PS: If you live in Boston you should listen to 105.7 during evening rush hour to hear little kids talking to "Santa". It is the cutest thing.

Finally, a home for OAK!

We have finally found the perfect retail location for OAK. 31 Gloucester Street, off of Newbury in the Back Bay. We have a good sized retail space at street level, and a full basement for classes and workshops. You can see in the second photo (ignore the man's butt, please) where the basement level windows will be opened up and we will be getting in lots of light.

Now, I am ready for artisans to start sending in their work for consignment. So that I can make sure I have plenty of time to enter everyones items into the computer system before the opening.

We are planning to have an official grand opening a few weeks after we actually open. I will invite all of you to come have some food and drinks and check out the new boutique.
